How the founding period works

  1. Apply below. It takes two minutes. We read every application by hand, and spots are limited, so not everyone gets one.
  2. We message you on WhatsApp within 2 days for your products, prices and photo.
  3. We build your store and you approve it.
  4. You put the link in your bio and start selling.
  5. Your first month is free. We'll remind you 3 days before it ends; from then it's ₹299 a month by UPI. To leave, message Aryan on WhatsApp (number below).

Your buyers' money goes to your own UPI account. Thela is new, so plans may change for new creators. If your fee ever changes, we'll tell you before it applies to you.

Questions creators ask

Who sets up my store?

We do, by hand, while Thela is small. You send your products, prices and a photo on WhatsApp, and you approve the page before it goes live.

How do my buyers pay?

They tap a price, add their email, and pay your UPI with the QR or your UPI ID. Each order has its own code, and the buyer sends it to you on WhatsApp with their name, so you can match it with the payment in your bank app. Buyers don't need an account.

When do I get paid?

Usually within seconds. It's your own UPI, so the money reaches your bank account as soon as the buyer pays. Thela never holds it. One caution: banks sometimes freeze an account after a fraud complaint about a payment, so we suggest a separate account just for sales.

Who sends the product, and how fast?

You do, after you've checked the payment, using a saved reply we write for you. Your store tells buyers when to expect it, for example within 12 hours.

Why would a buyer trust a creator to send it?

Every store says "Checked by Thela": we confirm the creator's UPI ID is really theirs before it goes live. If a buyer pays and doesn't get their order in the promised time, they can tell us on WhatsApp in one tap, and we follow it up with you. Creators who don't deliver or refund are removed. Refunds always come from you, because Thela never receives the payment.

What about refunds?

You pick your refund rule and it's shown on your store. Refunds go from your UPI app back to the person who paid.

Do I need GST?

It depends on your income and what you sell, so check with a CA. Your store works with or without a GSTIN.

What does Thela cost?

Your first month is free, from the day your store goes live. After that it's ₹299 a month for founding creators, paid by UPI, and nothing taken from your sales. No card, no auto-debit.

What happens after the free month?

We message you 3 days before it ends. Pay ₹299 by UPI to keep your store live, or tell us to stop and we take it down. If we don't hear from you, your store stays live for 7 more days (they count as part of month two), then goes offline. Pay within 30 days and it comes back as it was; after that we delete our copies, as if you'd left.

I haven't sold anything yet. Can I apply?

Yes. Two of the 10 founding spots are for first-timers. We set up your first store by hand, and you share the link with your followers. From month two it's ₹299 a month, whether or not you've sold anything.

What can't I sell?

Physical goods, for now. No stock tips, trading calls or investment advice. No promises of guaranteed results or income, and no claims you can't back up.

How do I leave?

Message us on WhatsApp any time. We take your store down and stop the fee, so you won't pay for the next month. Your products and your buyers stay yours.
